Do you believe that being healthy means following the perfect diet or reaching an ideal weight?  And once attained, you will be happy, loved, accepted and worthy?  The truth is that health is not fixed as we are conditioned to believe.  It is a cyclical journey rather than a final destination.  What you need in order to be healthy is constantly changing because as a human being, you are constantly changing.  On a day to day, week to week, month to month basis what you need shifts depending on factors such as the season, how much or little you exercise and genetic factors including your body type and blood type.  A rigid and dogmatic view of health and eating can result in much suffering and unhappiness.  This may manifest as an endless cycle of yo-yo dieting, emotional eating, being “on or off the wagon” “good” or “bad;” a sort of food samsara, creating deep emotional and physical suffering.
